AnyMaps — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
AnyMaps is a Chrome extension that collects publicly listed business information from map search results and listing pages you choose to scan, and exports it as a spreadsheet. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your data.
Everything stays on your device
- Your results — the businesses found, your filters and settings — are stored in your browser's extension storage.
- The cache of websites already checked for emails is stored locally too, so repeat searches are faster.
- AnyMaps has no server and no account. Your searches and leads are never sent to us.
What the extension reads
- Map search results on bing.com/maps: the business details shown there.
- Pages you choose to scan: only after you press Start on a page, AnyMaps reads the list on that page and, if you ask for it, each item's details.
- It does not read your browsing history or any page you haven't asked it to scan.
Finding emails
When you turn on email finding, your browser visits each business's own website (its home page and contact pages) to look for a contact email and social profiles, and asks a public DNS service (dns.google) whether the email's domain receives mail. These requests contain only the business's website or domain, never information about you.
Feedback and support
"Send feedback" and "Tell us about this page" open an email to us. We use your message and email address only to reply and to improve the extension.
Buy me a coffee
The "Buy me a coffee" button opens a Dodo Payments checkout page. If you choose to pay, Dodo Payments processes the payment under Dodo Payments' privacy policy. We never see or store card details.
Usage statistics
AnyMaps does not currently collect usage statistics. If that changes, it will only count anonymous events (for example "an export happened, with N rows") — never business names, emails, website addresses or pages you visit — and this policy will be updated before the change ships.
What we do not collect
- Your name, email or any sign-in.
- Your browsing history or the pages you visit.
- Advertising trackers or advertising cookies.
We do not sell data, and we do not use or transfer it for any purpose unrelated to AnyMaps, including advertising or creditworthiness.
Deleting your data
Press "New search" to clear the current results, or remove the extension to delete everything it stored.
Using the data responsibly
The information AnyMaps collects is publicly listed by the businesses themselves. You are responsible for using it in line with the laws that apply to contacting businesses where you are.
