LeetCode Recall — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

LeetCode Recall is a Chrome extension that shows video solutions beside LeetCode problems and schedules reviews of the problems you solve with spaced repetition. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your data. LeetCode Recall is not affiliated with LeetCode.

What stays on your device

  • Your review schedule — the problems you saved, your ratings, due dates and the optional one-line insights you write — is stored in your browser. If you never sign in, it never leaves your device.
  • Settings and the free-problem counter are stored locally.
  • The video list ships inside the extension, so looking up videos for a problem sends nothing to us.

What the extension reads on leetcode.com

  • Which problem or problem list you have open, to show the matching videos.
  • Whether a submission was Accepted, to ask how it went and schedule the next review.
  • In review mode, the problem's starting code template, to reset the editor. Your own code is never read, stored or sent anywhere.

The extension runs only on leetcode.com. It does not read other sites or your browsing history.

What we collect if you sign in with Google

Signing in backs up your schedule and starts your free trial. We then store:

  • Account email and Google account ID — to identify your account.
  • Your review schedule and rating history — problem names, ratings, review dates and your insights — so it syncs across your browsers.
  • Trial and subscription status — when your trial started and whether your plan is active.
  • Payment and subscription IDs — Dodo Payments processes your payment and sends us your subscription status. We never see or store card details.

Feedback

"Send feedback" in the extension opens an email to us. We use your message and email address only to reply and to improve the extension.

Usage statistics

To learn which features help, the extension sends simple usage events to Mixpanel, such as "panel opened", "video played" or "problem rated", with the problem involved, your plan and the extension version. Events carry a random install ID and, once you sign in, your account ID. They never include your email or your code. You can turn this off in the extension under Settings → Help.

What we do not collect

  • Your code, your LeetCode password or your LeetCode session.
  • Your browsing history or activity on any site other than leetcode.com.
  • Advertising trackers or advertising cookies.

Third-party services

  • Google Sign-In — authenticates you; we receive only your email and account ID.
  • YouTube — videos play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play a video, YouTube receives what any embedded player receives, under Google's privacy policy.
  • Mixpanel — receives the usage events described above, under Mixpanel's privacy policy.
  • Dodo Payments — handles payment processing, under Dodo Payments' privacy policy.
  • Hosting — account and schedule data is stored on our servers, hosted on Render and Supabase.

How we use your data

Solely to provide and improve the extension: show videos, schedule and sync your reviews, run your free trial and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data, and we do not use or transfer it for any purpose unrelated to LeetCode Recall, including advertising or creditworthiness.

Data retention

Account, schedule and subscription records are kept while your account is active and as needed for support, billing and legal compliance. Data stored in your browser is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Your rights

You can sign out at any time from the extension's Settings. To get a copy of your data or have your account deleted, email us and we will do it.
